In 1945, Paul-Émile Laguë established his first partnership with an agricultural manufacturer, becoming the representative for Cockshutt tractors. By 1955, the first garage was built, marking the launch of an International Harvester dealership. In 1960, Laguë specialized exclusively in International Harvester trucks.
Immersed in the world of trucks and machinery from a young age, Paul-André Laguë, Paul-Émile’s son, started advising future truck owners at the age of eight. His father, a boundless source of knowledge, imparted all his expertise to him. Curious and ambitious, Paul-André would go on to achieve remarkable success in his career within the family business.
In 1977, father and son inaugurated a new garage in Boucherville, featuring International Harvester as the dealership brand. The following year, Lyne Pinsonneault, who would later become Paul-André Laguë's wife and business partner, joined the team.
In the early 1980s, Camions Laguë inc. experienced major expansion with the arrival of engine experts. The establishment of Ressorts Boucherville inc. introduced specialized departments. The company doubled its workforce to 30 employees.
In 1986, Location de camions Eureka inc. was established with a fleet of just three trucks.
In 1992, Camions Laguë Inc. expanded its expertise in Anjou by acquiring Freins Bernier, a brake specialist. By 1994, with branches in Anjou, Boucherville and Dorval, the company was representing PACCAR products. In 2010, the Boucherville branch relocated.
